BeemCar: 6DoF City Tour

We're very proud to have used our new software for the first time commercially, which allows 6-degrees of freedom on a smartphone. 

We've partnered up with the team over at BeemCar, to create a visualisation experience of their urban city transport system. The only issue with BeemCar is it's hard to show what it looks like and its features without a scale model in the real world, thus our business solution was to create an immersive virtual display of the pods.  

Not only does this provide users with a 360-degree viewing, but this allows them to move along their 6-degrees of freedom, and experience the city tour from inside the BeemCar pod. 

BeemCar is a modern, high capacity, attractive, sustainable, integrated, environmentally friendly, urban transport system, reducing congestion, costs, pollution. By replacing 10-15% of journeys, this system can reduce pollution by 10MtCO2 (10 Mega Tonnes of Carbon Dioxide). 

BeemCar tackles cost, speed, security, and environmental issues, by providing a point-to-point transport system that returns the streets to the people. Costing about $17.7m/km opposed to Trams at $100m/km.

With technology that is already in use, the system looks to replace both cars and public means of transport. A personal, 24/7 available pod, with all types of mobility, from street level, carrying you from point to point at 30mph, 5 metres above the road. Transport superiority is here!

We showcased the experience at the "Late Debate Environment Matters" exhibit, at the London Transport Museum. 

It was an incredible exhibit, with many big smiles all-around during the experience.
